Smart Metering deployment is increasingly gaining momentum across Europe. In Germany the starting signal was given in February 2020. Since then, the installation of digital metering systems has been mandatory for electricity meters with a minimum of 6,000 kWh/year and a maximum of 100,000 kWh/year. In the meantime, the first systems with antennas from Antennentechnik Bad Blankenburg are in operation. ATTB develops, tests and manufactures the particularly reliable and powerful antennas, which are especially suited for this purpose, at its headquarters in Weimar. Two successful models for the smart meter rollout are now also available in new variants. This gives customers more flexibility for mandatory installations.
Magnetic antenna 3342 with universal coded FAKRA Z connector
The well-known and very popular 3342.02 magnet mount antenna with 2.5 meter cable and SMA (m) connector is now also available in a 3342.03 variant with universal coded FAKRA Z connector. This new variant is compatible with all types of FAKRA connectors, smart meter gateways and routers without the need of using an adapter. The narrowband antenna is ideally suited for CDMA 450 applications and is mounted on the control cabinet.
Station antenna 4942 with new connectors and cable lengths
The very broadband station antenna 4942.01 is now available in a total of 3 new variants with different connectors and cable lengths. One variant with SMA (m) connector and 3 meter DACAR 302 cable (4942.02). And two further variants with FAKRA D connector and 3 meter (4942.03) or 5 meter (4942.04) DACAR 302 cable. All variants are ideally suited for intelligent metering systems (IMSYS). They cover both the low LTE band (incl. LTE 700) as well as high 5G frequency ranges. The station antenna can be quickly and securely mounted on a wall. To save time and effort the necessary mounting material is already included in the scope of delivery.
Distribution via partner co.met
